This transverse and narrow valley has been formed by the Aconcagua river that has its source on top of namesake mountain, the highest peak in South America and of the Southern Hemisphere. A wine-producing area since 1870, specialists, consumers and visitors identify outstanding Syrah wines as the emblematic wine of this area.
The wineries that have opened their doors to tourism are characterized for being very heterogeneous; some have international standing and are of a big size. There are also some that use old machinery to produce sweet wines. These varying sizes offer the visitor a great wine tourism experience. |
